The AFRL has had some outstanding achievements over the last few years. 2006 saw Fiji qualify for the 2008 World Cup, with heavy involvement from the Australian Fijian players and staff.
The AFRL in conjunction with NSW Cook Islands now host an Annual Kooga Shield event which fields teams in the under 16/18/20 and Open side categories. This is a wonderful tournament which allows players from all over Australia of fijian heritage to come along and participate and display their skills.
The conception of the Battle of the Bati series which involved heavy input from the AFRL with Fiji National Rugby League has resulted in no less than 10 players from the AFRL being selected to represent the Fiji Bati and also the Junior Bati.
The NSW Development Cup has also enabled the AFRL to showcase the talents of our young up and coming players in the under 16 division.
There is a growing number of Fijian heritage players now playing in the NRL Competition including our Patron Petero Civoniceva.
New partnerships with our sponsors (pictured below) will only motivate the AFRL to forge forward and reap more rewards in the upcoming future.
